Rotala Indica is a popular aquatic stem plant that can grow tall and thick making it a suitable background or midground plant. The tips of the stems can turn reddish colored when grown with CO2, fertilization and good lighting. With frequent trimming you can achieve an amazing bush effect.
 
Planting Rotala is like any other stem plant, simply grab the stem and plant in your substrate.  Rotala has fragile leaves! Be sure to handle with care. It is also a rather sensitive plant so severe melting may occur when planting in your tank but it will recover if planted in good substrate or with root tabs. CO2 injection and quality aquarium soil will yield better growth. Please research appropriately to ensure your plant thrives.
 
Final coloration is ultimately dependent upon the conditions this plant is kept in. Size, shape and color may vary.
